Their tall, narrow design will give you precise reading of the liquid level. Simply compare the lowest point of the liquid level with the markings on the side to get an accurate reading.

Note: If accuracy is important, beakers should never be used for accurate volume measurements. If you’ve been using a beaker to measure, it’s important that you know that the markings on the side are only an approximation of the true volume. Graduated cylinders do a much better job!
