Acid-activated bentonite clay (or activated bleaching clay) is an excellent filtration media.
The clay is rich in carbon, and it has a low pH. This product is most commonly used during oil purification, distillation preparation, pesticide removal, and product improvement (odor removal).
General usage instructions:
- Warm your oil (to 90°c).
- Add adsorbents.
- Mix for 30 minutes.
- Cool the mixture down (to 40°c)
- Add a solvent and filter!
Note: Acid Activated Bleaching Clay has a 10% carbon-to-clay ratio. A 10% clay-to-oil mixture ratio is suggested.
