Sr. Project Manager

Overview:

The Sr. Project Manager has overall responsibility for managing scope, cost, schedule, internal staffing (coordinating with internal departments) and outside vendors, and contractual deliverable(s). Manages and oversees all aspects of a project to ensure it is completed on-time and within budget while meeting customer and internal quality requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with Applications engineers, sales, engineering, procurement, etc. to properly plan and scope out project requirements and timelines.
  • Assist with various internal departments to develop project cost and customer proposals.
  • Reviews plans and other technical documents, answers questions regarding the scope and/or scheduling of the project, and monitors costs and project progress.
  • Prepares reports for upper management regarding status of project thereby acting as the liaison between the project team and upper level management
  • Design the project goals and success markers, determine how success will be measured and tracked.
  • Meet with clients to clarify and lock down specific requirements.
  • Meet budgetary objectives and adjust project constraints based on financial analysis that includes communicating directly with contractors/designers concerning project cost, staffing, and scheduling.
  • Assist with manuals, instructions, process documents, etc. in support of projects.
  • Other tasks and assignments as required to support company goals (may be outside current job scope).

Skills:

  • PMP certification a plus
  • Organized and skilled with the use of project management software (please specify).
  • Possesses strong knowledge of electro-mechanical systems and installations thereof.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to balance the need to cost, quality and schedule.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills (both internal and external).

Miscellaneous:

  • Position reports to the Director of Project Management.
  • No direct reports so work is generally independent and collaborative in nature.
  • May assume a team lead role as required.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 3-7 years of related experience. PMP certification a plus, but is NOT required

Technical Writer

Overview:

The Technical Writer is responsible for creating Agrify equipment user and maintenance instructions from firsthand use, technical expert interviews, engineering documents, and schematics. In this role you will efficiently use language, charts, graphs, drawings and other graphic tools to explain complex technical information in an easily understood manner. You will organize technical information so that it can be used efficiently to document multiple configurations, be used in multiple documents and be translated into multiple languages.

Responsibilities:

  • Create Agrify equipment user manuals, maintenance manuals, user guides, software user instructions, assembly instructions and other technical documentation in an electronic and/or hard copy format in a clear and concise manner.
  • Participate in design reviews by representing the equipment user perspective and become familiar with new equipment designs.
  • Work closely with technical experts to gain a good understanding of the workings and maintenance of Agrify products.
  • Develop strategies for the efficient creation and maintenance of technical documentation.
  • Maintain a consistent and cohesive look and feel across all documentation.
  • Seek out errors and inconsistencies in information provided by others and resolve problems efficiently.
  • Maintain a document repository that is up to date, accurate, organized and readily available.

Skills:

  • A strong interest in and a thorough understanding of electro/mechanical and industrial software operating principles.
  • English or Technical Writing degree with strong technical background, or Engineering degree with technical writing experience, or equivalent.
  • A strong interest in and a thorough understanding of electro/mechanical and industrial software operating principles.
  • Strong working knowledge of instruction manual creation and publishing software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Knowledge of MadCap Flare a plus.
  • Increasingly, technical information is being delivered online, and familiarity with the use of the interactive technologies of the Web to blend text, graphics, multidimensional images, sound, and video is a plus.

Miscellaneous/Background:

  • Position reports to the Director of Service and is based at Agrify’s HQ.
  • Willingness to travel up to 15% of the time.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 3-7 years of related experience. Knowledge of MadCap Flare or equivalent a plus.
